Brick & Flue technician on a roof feeding a stainless steel liner into a brick chimney

Chimney relining in Atlanta, GA

Cracked or missing flue liners replaced with a stainless steel liner sized to your fireplace, stove or insert.

The liner is the inner wall of your flue. It carries smoke and gases out of the house and protects the surrounding brick and wood framing from heat. When a liner cracks or deteriorates, heat and gases can reach places they should not.

When a liner needs attention

Common reasons include cracked or shifted clay flue tiles, damage after a chimney fire, older chimneys that were built without a liner, and switching to a new gas insert, wood stove or other appliance that needs a correctly sized flue.

How we find out

Liner damage is usually invisible from the fireplace. We run a camera up the flue and show you the footage and photos, so you can see the cracks or gaps for yourself before deciding what to do.

Relining

For most homes the practical fix is a stainless steel liner, sized to your appliance and installed from the top of the chimney down. We explain the options that fit your chimney and give you a written quote.

FAQ

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (678) 923-3593 and ask.

How do I know if my liner is damaged?

Usually you cannot tell from inside the house. A camera inspection of the flue, which is part of a Level 2 inspection, is the reliable way to find cracks, gaps and missing tiles.

Do I need a new liner if I install an insert or stove?

Most inserts and stoves need a liner sized to the appliance. We check the manufacturer's requirements and your existing flue and explain what is needed.

How long does relining take?

Many relines can be done in a day, but it depends on the height and condition of the chimney. We give you a timeframe with your quote.
