Chimney chase covers in Atlanta, GA
Rusted or leaking chase covers replaced with made-to-measure covers that shed water and protect a framed chimney.
If your chimney is framed and covered in siding or stone rather than solid brick, the top is sealed with a metal chase cover. It keeps rain out of the chase and holds the flue in place. Many original covers are thin metal that rusts, sags in the middle and lets water pool, and that water ends up inside the chase.
Signs your chase cover is failing
Rust streaks running down the siding, water stains on a ceiling or wall near the fireplace, a rusty firebox, or a cover that dips in the middle.
Made to measure
We measure your chase and fit a cover made to its exact size, in durable, rust-resistant metal, shaped so water runs off instead of sitting on top. It goes on with a storm collar and a cap over the flue to keep out rain, animals and debris.
Checking the damage underneath
If water has been getting in for a while, the framing or flue underneath may be damaged too. We look, photograph what we find and quote any repairs before closing it up.
Why choose us for this job
Chase covers are quoted in writing after we have measured your chase.

What is a chase cover?
It is the metal cover that seals the top of a framed chimney, with an opening for the flue. It keeps rain and animals out of the chase.
Why is there rust running down my chimney siding?
That usually means the chase cover is rusting. Water pools on top, rusts through and runs down the sides. A new cover stops it.
Can you fix a chase cover instead of replacing it?
Small problems can sometimes be sealed, but a rusted or sagging cover usually needs replacing to stop the leak for good.
